Dean will be running a regular 6 week workshop starting on Friday mornings 10.30-1.30.
Learn how to sculpt the human figure with clay artist Dean Allen. Within his courses , Dean teaches many step by step, yet inspirational sculpting techniques, ranging from the classical to the contemporary. You will cover the head, hands, to full bodies and everything in between! He will also discuss different surface decoration and finishes that you can use.
Whilst offering solid and reliable methods this course seeks to encourage personal creativity, however if you wish you can either choose from a set learning program, or alternatively nominate to undertake a personal passion project – its all possible.
As a beginner you will be comprehensively supported from start to finish. and this course also caters for the more experienced sculptor, who may wish to extend their practice. Remember; If you can imagine it, you can make it!
The cost of the course includes tuition, use of facilities, including a range of quality tools.
Finished work will be charged at £8 per kilo of fired weight, which includes the clay, bisque firing, glazes/decorative slips/oxides and glaze firing.
