HAND BUILDING COURSES

We have a rolling programme of six week courses which are three hours long, and limited to eight on the wheel, so you to get time with the tutors while still having an enjoyable social experience.

They are pitched at different ability levels, from Complete beginners onwards.

Level 1 – Complete Beginners and those wanting a refresher.
Level 2 – Improvers, wanting to build on the basics.
Level 3 – Aspiring Amateur, confident makers who want the challenge of new skills.

Prices for courses include expert tuition, use of our studio facilities, bisque and glaze firing.

We use a ‘weigh and pay’ system for fired work , which includes the clay, house glazes and firing.
The cost is worked out by weight and is charged at different rates depending on clay used.

For example : 1Kg of Stoneware glazed and fired is £8 Kg ( approx 4 small thrown bowls)

*Please be advised that you will struggle to work with clay and throw on a wheel with long nails!!!
